Tetsuya fidgeted as he struggled to take in the awkwardness of his current situation. On his left side sat one Nishikawa Takanori, a well known talking machine, defending his exclusive rights to the title even at that very moment. On his right sat Awaji Yukihiro, the quietest person on earth, who was currently conveying his thoughts, the main being "Is this for real?", to the unfortunate bassist with his incredulous stare alone.
There was nothing really in common between the two men, nothing that could help Tetsuya diffuse the situation at once, and he knew he had to deal with them separately, preferably starting with the one posing the more immediate threat.
Using the short pause in the stream of words that appeared when Takanori had to take a breath, a skill he acquired after years of dealing with the overwhelming singer, he quickly blurted out "I have some chocolates!" and proceeded to take out and show the mentioned sweets.
To his surprise, the confectionery item drew the attention of both his companions and when he looked down to his own hands he could barely believe his luck once he realized that his chocolates featured Gundam on the packaging.
